Back in 2015 when Panda began, we needed to find a material as soft as Egyptian cotton. And a duvet filling as light and fluffy as duck or goose down. Both had to be eco-friendly to source, manufacture and recycle. Having searched all over the world, in the forests of South East Asia, we found it…bamboo.
THE WONDERS OF BAMBOO
• Luxuriously soft: Bamboo fabric is so luxurious, it feels finer than Egyptian cotton. Its strong, silky fibres get softer with every wash.
• Antibacterial and hypoallergenic: Bamboo is inhospitable to unwelcome guests like dust-mites and bed bugs. It has an in-built antimicrobial enzyme that naturally repels harmful bacteria that irritate sensitive skin. Bamboo’s hypoallergenic properties make it a favourite of eczema and allergy sufferers.
• Moisture-wicking, thermoregulating and breathable: the highly breathable fabric encourages airflow and maximises comfort, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
• All of these benefits make bamboo wonderfully gentle on delicate, newborn skin.

• organically grown in the world’s most sustainable forests*, without pesticides and only water from rainfall. This ensures wildlife is unharmed and the environment and communities in surrounding areas are protected too. (*EcoCert certified FSC-managed forests).
• cut rather than pulled during the harvesting process, so it regenerates rapidly and needs less forest space than other plants.
• produced using a closed-loop process to minimise water waste.
Our products are also vegan-friendly, feather-free, and non-toxic. OEKO-Tex Standard 100 certification confirms there are no traces of harmful substances.
