Having started her career as a nanny, the founder quickly recognised the need for high-quality, experience-based support for new parents. Drawing on a hands-on background, she launched a sleep coaching business in 2011 to help families build positive sleep habits. It soon grew into a successful consulting service, supporting parents across the globe with sleep, toddler behaviour, weaning, reflux and more.
Alongside helping thousands of families, she has also been raising her own three children, now aged 7, 6 and 2. Her personal motherhood journey deeply informs the support she gives—proving that the early years don’t have to be about just surviving, but can be a time of thriving with the right advice and compassion.
In 2023, the brand rebranded from The Parent and Baby Coach to Positively Parenthood to better support today’s working parents in navigating the demands of home and career. The team now includes Melanie, Head Sleep Coach and also a mum of two (aged 4 and 2). Together in 2025, they launched the UK’s first AI-powered parenting chatbot, Parent Guide, offering 24/7 answers based on over 20 years of experience.
As mums, they understand how lonely and overwhelming parenting can feel. They’ve lived the long nights, the big questions and the self-doubt—and that’s why they’ve created a support system like no other.
