Rachel began her fashion career working as an international model in London, Tokyo, Paris and New York. During this time Rachel met her husband Daniel, a photographer. Collaborating on the Rachel Riley brand imagery together, they enjoy working on the creative direction as a family team. Today the team also includes Rachel’s daughter Rose, an ex-childrenswear buyer at Harrods.
Rachel began her brand when their three children were young, realising there was a gap in the market for well-made, comfortable, stylish clothes for babies and children.
Having enjoyed a life-long passion for the classic designs and glamorous style of the 50s & 60s, Rachel created a brand that is dedicated to making kids look and feel beautiful, providing the comfort that makes kids feel confident. As timeless style never goes out of fashion, Rachel is proud to create clothing to be worn, loved and lived in. Rachel collects vintage childrenswear and these precious pieces are stored in her London archive, providing a constant source of inspiration and accurate historic resource. With Rachel’s energy and determination, she grew the company from a mail order business to the globally recognised brand it is today. Everything is lovingly designed in the UK. The brand’s iconic prints are exclusive and are designed in-house and the footwear is hand-crafted in Rachel’s atelier in the Loire Valley, France.
Rachel Riley is a creative brand embracing new ideas and opportunity with drive, ambition and strong leadership. Built on strong foundations, adaptable and relevant for today, the female team continue to grow and innovate the brand in the UK, USA, and on an international stage.
The brand has collaborated with well-known British and American brands, such as the Annabel Karmel and Four Seasons Resort. In addition they have recently launched a licencing division, with an exclusive apparel collection for the storybook character Eloise.
