Inspired by our own parenting journey, Tiny Tiptoes UK (formerly Little Paws Big Memories) was founded in 2025 by husband-and-wife team, Emma and Michael. When our second child was born, we realised how many little details from our firstborn’s early months we had already forgotten, so we set about creating something to capture those moments.
At the same time, Emma’s dad was nearing the end of his life. Designing what would become our memory book became both an escape and a comfort, and something she could work on at his bedside. What began as a personal project quickly grew into something much bigger!
We identified a clear gap in the market. Existing baby books rely on rigid milestones and assumptions about family structure. We wanted to create something truly unique by placing hand and footprints at the heart, whilst being inclusive, flexible and meaningful for every family.
Using our backgrounds in childcare and occupational therapy, we created a memory book that removes pressure and expectations. There are no fixed milestones or timelines. Instead, each page focuses on memories, allowing families to record what matters to them, in their own time. This was especially important to us as our first child was born during lockdown, and traditional baby books left painful blank spaces where ‘expected’ moments never happened. We wanted to ensure no parent felt that same sense of incompleteness.
Our book is designed to be practical as well as beautiful. The Starter Kit includes clean-touch ink pads so no ink ever touches baby’s skin, and layflat binding makes capturing prints easy and stress-free. Every book is printed on FSC-certified paper using soy-based inks, balancing sustainability with durability so it can be treasured for years to come.
Beyond our products, we are committed to giving back. In July 2025, we crowdfunded over £2,000 to create hand and footprint memory kits for UK NICUs and bereavement suites, supporting families during unimaginable loss.
