WriggleEase is a new British product designed to allow parents to keep 6–24 month olds safely and securely on their laps during flights, train journeys and other long periods of sitting.
Most airlines offer infant tickets for children up to two years old. This allows them onto the plane, but does not give them their own seat. An infant ticket permits the child to travel only on an adult’s lap for the duration of the flight – which can feel like a very long time with a wriggly baby trying to launch themselves off your lap. Just launched in February 2025, WriggleEase is an innovative travel lap seat that creates a safe and comfortable way for parents to sit little ones on their laps and keep them there, hands-free.

The familiar five-point harness signals to a child that it’s time to sit and relax, while also keeping them supported and seated. When not in use, it folds neatly into its own travel pouch to hang on a buggy or suitcase handle or slip into a bag.
WriggleEase is accepted for use on aeroplanes. Whether a child is a frequent flyer or first-time jet-setter, they can sit comfortably and enjoy the flight, as the CAA UK, EASA and IATA have all considered the product and found that it poses minimal risk, so is acceptable to use during the cruise period of a flight.
