The arrival of 100 dinosaurs at Port Lympne makes it the place to be for budding palaeontologists this half term

Words Miriam Carey

With the arrival of one hundred dinosaurs at Port Lympne Safari Park in Kent, Dino Day out is a fantastic opportunity to entertain the dino fanatics in the family this half term: it now boasts the largest collection of lifesize dinosaurs in Europe.

Visitors will journey back in time and hear the story of the animal kingdom as it was millions of years ago. You will have the chance to see 40 different species including the dinosaur favourites T-Rex, Diplodocus and Pterodactyl.

On arrival head straight to the prehistoric three-acre Dinosaur Forest. Dinosaur Rangers will be on hand giving out facts about the fascinating reptiles. Little ones will be excited by tales of these prehistoric beasts and gain deeper insight into prehistoric life. Visitors can also download the Dinosaur Forest app enabling them to interact with augmented reality dinosaur content as they explore the forest.

Not only will little ones be able to learn and understand more about these impressive creatures but they will also become amateur palaeontologists themselves. Dig up dinosaur fossils and uncover the Stegosaurus skeleton hidden in the sand….

On Monday 29th May 2017, the Dinosaur Forest will be playing host to live performances by TV Andy Day, now (in)famous for his Dinosaur Raps.

Here is a look at the itinerary for the day:
