Meet Insta-Mama Laura Wills

Every month we'll be chatting to an inspirational mama instagrammer. This time we meet ultra-glam style blogger Laura Wills

Tell us the story behind your amazing blog?

I’ve always been obsessed with fashion and back in 2014 just before I started the blog I was at a time in my life where I was a bit lost with what I wanted to do career wise. I started my blog really as a sort of creative outlet for myself and would share my posts and outfit pics amongst friends. It got such great feedback and I loved both the writing aspect as well as putting together looks that I decided to make a go of it and turn it into a career.

You have a very loyal Instagram following. How do you feel about the insta community?

I feel very lucky that I have such a lovely loyal following – I connect with some followers almost daily and some have even become friends. They are all so sweet, positive and encouraging which has played a really important role in building my blog.

What are your favourite mummy and baby brands?

I love Belle Enfant, Oscar et Valentine, Marie Chantal, La Coqueta, Chloe & Tartine et Chocolat for Mila’s clothing. Zara do AMAZING cashmere for kids. My fav shoe brands for Mila are Moc Stars and Easy Peasy. And Trotters are great for lots of things – I get all of Mila’s bows from there.

For myself I love Zimmermann, Gucci (especially for shoes) and Caroline Constas. Zara and Topshop are my favourite high street shops. And Chanel and Goyard for bags!

Other shops or sites I love are Oskoe Living, Piccoli & Co (for furniture too I got Mila’s cot from there), Nursery Window, Melijoe, and Conscious Crafts.

Your gorgeous little girl often features on your feed – what do you love most about motherhood?

Everything! I loved the newborn stage and then seeing her develop and learn key things such as crawling and walking. And now she is a little girl and it’s SO much fun. I love seeing how she sees the world and how she is fascinated by everything and everyone. I love how it changed me as a person – it made me focused and determined. I love how she makes me feel – it really is a love unlike anything else it is so all encompassing. And most of all I love seeing her happy – there is nothing better. But I even love the challenging times – my husband and I always say those are the most memorable and the most bonding. Being a mother has grounded me and I feel happier than I’ve ever been.

What are your tips for staying stylish when pregnant or running around after little ones?

Accessories – I love a statement earring and some fabulous shoes. They can brighten up even the most casual jeans and a tee combo.
