Adorable and practical, this is one of the best children’s beds on the market just now

Part of the latest collection from Little Loafers, we love this Clamber Doodle bed because it’s well-built, solid, and although it’s clearly been designed with fun in mind, it’s also an enormously practical piece for a child’s bedroom.

Made of solid reclaimed fir recovered from old buildings, the clamber doodle kids bed from Loaf has captured our hearts this week. With the sleeping area at the top, and lots of room for action at the bottom it’s a beautifully made alternative to a lot of the synthetically finished bedroom furniture for children you often see on offer.

Hand-finished in beautiful beached timber, the clamber doodle is a characterful captain’s bed with absolutely oodles of storage – two drawers and four shelves – which is super useful; it’s robust and will survive being climbed all over for years, and the chalk board at the end makes it even more fun.

Recommended for littles aged six and over, this bed is also very adaptable, depending on what your room is like: the bed is reversible and the ladder comes off, and can be attached onto either side.
