Pregnancy Beauty Products

New luxe pampering range Unity Beauty Essentials is perfect for mums-to-be.

Mums-to-be can often find themselves unsure of what beauty products are the most effective and safe to use. But pregnancy certainly isn’t the time to give up on pampering, so we love new brand Unity Beauty Essentials, which is designed specifically to meet your skin’s needs when your expecting.

What makes it so good?

It’s a beauty brand that has been specially formulated for pregnant women. From combating stretch marks to easing itchy skin and soothing tired legs, Unity’s unique products contain a selection of ingredients completely suitable for use during pregnancy. It’s 94% natural and packed with all the nourishing ingredients your skin requires as your bump grows.
The collection’s signature ingredient is the Indian Gooseberry, which is regarded as a ‘Pregnancy Superfruit’, and the entire range is free from mineral oils, parabens, petrolatum, sulphates, phthalates, DEA and gluten.

Who’s behind the brand?

Founder Parvathi Nair is a veteran of the beauty industry who has worked for top names such as Vichy, SK-II, La Mer and Burberry. As an expectant mum herself, she spotted a gap in the market for luxury beauty products that really targeted the concerns women face in pregnancy, so along with a team of experts, she set about creating the perfect collection for mums-to-be. Parvathi was inspired by her birthplace – the Indian state of Kerala – to put natural, tropical ingredients at the heart of the brand.

What’s in the range?

The collection comprises three products, with the standout being the Complete Duo: Stretch Mark Cream + Oil, £45, the first-ever stretch mark cream-oil hybrid, which works to reduce the risk of stretch marks as well as improve skin elasticity and banish any dryness or itchiness. The Daily Body Hydrator, £35 – a lightweight yet potent formula designed to instantly rehydrate thirsty skin – and the Intensive Body Nourisher, £35, a rich, buttery cream ideal for overnight – complete the range.

And after pregnancy?

Keep using these gorgeous oils and creams to keep your skin super soft. They might be designed with expectant mums in mind, but anyone with sensitive skin will find them a delight to use.
