May half term is nearly upon us already which means it’s time to start thinking about plans. Read on for inspiration on fun activities for the family
Words Miriam Carey
Half Term approaches at full tilt again, so make sure you plan some fun things to do with the kids. We have chosen five brilliant activities in and around London, from costume making to comedy, to entertain the little ones at the end of the month.
Plant and grow your own fruit and vegetables
Plant up a fruit and veg box this May half term and get enthusiastic about growing things from scratch. Children love fruit and veg which grow quickly, producing almost immediate results, and with this in mind they can choose from three tasty options: pepper, lettuce, tomato or strawberry.

Make a costume
Choose from costume making, acting, or movement and dance for the really little ones. These workshops are held every school holiday, but are enormously popular, because they are so good, so they sell out: always book now for May half term.

Of equal delight to parents and little ones, some of the biggest names in entertainment will assemble at the Underbelly to produce some laugh-your-socks-off comedy. While the Monski Mouse’s baby disco is the friendliest disco for under-5s and their parents, is also a must-see.
