Traditional craftsmanship and artisan techniques are used throughout, including hand embroidery, hand smocking and hand-worked intarsia for knitwear to create the finest and most comfortable clothes for babies and children.
Rachel created her brand in 1998 when her children were young, making clothes for family and friends using her expertise in sewing, knitting and pattern cutting. With Rachel’s energy and determination, she grew the company from a mail order business to the globally recognised brand it is today.
Rachel Riley grew up in London and has enjoyed a lifelong passion for the classic designs and style of the 50s & 60s and has collected vintage childrenswear for decades. These precious pieces have helped define the brand’s aesthetic: making heirloom keepsakes to be passed down to future generations.
Everything is lovingly designed in the UK. All the prints are exclusive and are designed in-house and the footwear is produced in Rachel’s atelier in the Loire Valley, France.
