Dot & Doug was founded by Emma Moore during her return to study Fashion Design in 2018. Emma was horrified to find the impacts of Fast Fashion and set out to develop a British childrenswear brand that tackled these impacts head on.
All products are handmade in the UK by Emma and her seamstresses, using a range of deadstock, organic and natural fabrics. Emma carefully selects all trims to also be eco-friendly, opting for wooden buttons, and eco-elastic made from natural rubbers. The goal is to not only make a product that is as sustainable as possible, but to also ensure that when it finally comes to the end of its life it will be fully biodegradable. Dot & Doug even has a shop you can visit and see the products being sewn, for full brand transparency.
Dot & Doug’s mission is to provide stylish, high-quality children’s clothing that is ethically produced and environmentally friendly. Dot & Doug’s goal is to provide a guilt-free, luxurious shopping experience for their customers, knowing that every purchase supports ethical and sustainable practices.
“Winning an award such as this, and being recognised as ‘most eco-friendly brand’ would mean the world to myself. I am passionate about creating eco-friendly fashion, and changing the way we shop for a better future.” – Emma Moore
