Emile et Rose create traditional and timeless baby clothing and accessories for babies aged up to 23 months. The brand uses the softest fabrics to create quality clothes for all occasions, which are as comfortable and practical as they are beautiful.
“Our seasonal collections offer a range of beautiful and traditional styles for little ones. For girls our range includes everything from babygrows and two-piece sets to dresses and jackets. Gorgeous prints and delicate embroideries create outfits perfect for special occasions. Whilst our baby boy clothing offers a range of beautiful, classic and traditional designs for all occasions. It includes babygrows and rompers as well as two-piece and three-piece sets and hats.”
A small family run business, Emile et Rose was established by two cousins, Eve and Mike, and continues to flourish under the same family ownership.
The brand began when as a young mother, Eve started by making clothes for her baby daughter Sarah. A local shop spotted her talent and persuaded her to fulfil an order for them. The business was started in her back bedroom, and grew until she took the plunge of opening a factory in Exmouth, Devon in 1972, at the age of just 20 years old.
“All of the design and distribution of the Emile et Rose collections now takes place at our design studios in Devon, situated on a farm on the outskirts of Topsham. Farm life has lots of perks, including helping round up escaping sheep and lunchtime strolls through the fields. Although just a small team of 10 we have over 100 years of experience collectively and are very passionate about what we do.”
