When babies begin their weaning journey, it’s important to introduce well balanced flavours help develop their taste buds. Our Pear, Banana, Coconut Milk & Baby Rice pouch has 46% less sugar than other rice-based baby pouches on the market. The inclusion of cinnamon also helps to introduce more developed flavours early on in our little ones journey with food. In using more natural sugars derived from fruit and spices, we’ve worked hard to make sure our pouches aren’t just delicious, but beneficial to a babies journey with food.

Research highlights the importance of maintaining a healthy amount of fibre when weaning, to support the development of our little ones digestive system. Piccolo’s Pear, Banana, Coconut Milk & Baby Rice pouch contains 58% more fibre than the average banana-based pouch on the market to help fuel our babies appetites and growth.

Piccolo strives to be pioneers within the baby food category. It is our mission to push boundaries to find the most effective ways to support growing families. Therefore, we’re consistently improving our sustainability efforts in our packaging’s recyclability. In 2021, we launched Yellow & Go, the UK’s first ever mono-material, fully recyclable pouches. These pouches are the latest addition to the ‘& Go’ range launched in 2019, with existing pouches made of 80% plant-derived materials. Piccolo Kids is also pioneering the way for recyclability in the category with 91% of the range completely recyclable from home, and more work underway to reach 100% recyclability. In 2023, we will also start rolling out brand new recyclable packaging for all baby pouches.

At Piccolo, we’re committed to giving 10% of our profits to charities supporting local families and has donated over 500,000 baby meals to families in need over the last two years. We’re currently working with our charity partner City Harvest, to help local families provide their children with the best start in life. It is also integral to the company that we ensure parents are getting the best quality products possible. At Piccolo, giving back and sustainable sourcing are core values of the business. We choose our suppliers with the greatest care, working directly with farmers to ensure that we know exactly what goes inside every one of our Piccolo pouches ensuring the best quality ingredients from farm to fork (or spoon!)
