Wyse: the young British brand making cashmere cool
WHO?
Designer and owner Marielle Wyse created the brand back in December 2014. She had a love of cashmere jumpers but couldn’t find what she wanted at a price she was happy with.
WHAT?
Cashmere is not normally associated with bright pops of colour. That was until Wyse London. For this brand, the design is in the details. Luxury, ready-to-wear cashmere remains simple and elegant but each piece has a little something extra. Think rainbow stripes, metallic or sequinned elbow patches, lurex stitching or a block of bright colour; there’s even neon in there, and new in is the striking lightning bolt motif. The collection is mostly sweaters, but you’ll find cardigans and lounge bottoms too. For the upcoming warmer months you’ll find linen tees (plain or embellished) and there’s a selection of more muted sweaters for men. Championing the “everyday wearable”, the fits have a little slouch so are comfortable but (importantly) flattering. Wyse has recently received a lot of attention after Holly Willoughby posted a shot of herself in a full tracksuit to Instagram – but, in truth, the brand has had a huge fashion following since its launch.
