ZAZU is Dutch brand developing products for children, helping them and their parents to get a good night’s sleep. Founders Nynke Bakker and Sven van der Veen, both parents of 3 children, teamed up in 2013 and set up their own brand of children’s products: “Having children is very special. Davy the dog is a sleep trainer with an alarm clock and nightlight in one. Does your child wake up very early in the morning? Sleeptrainer Davy helps your child understand when it is time to stay in bed and when it is OK to get up. Davy closes his eyes when at bedtime and opens them in the morning when it is OK to get up. The nightlight changes colour like a traffic light, to denote night, early morning and OK to get up. When Davy’s eyes are closed and the clock is red it means bedtime. An orange screen with Davy’s eyes still closed means your little one has to wait only half an hour before…. Davy’s eyes open and the screen turns green. That means time to get up! You can also set a nap time for the ones that sleep during the day. Optional is to choose from 3 alarm sounds with adjustable volume. Davy’s nightlight is dimmable and could stay lit continuously or switch off automatically after 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

Not only is Davy a sleep trainer with a traffic light system to help your children understand their sleep schedule, but this cute little dog can also become your child’s friend. Davy also has a number of other useful features;the nap time can be activated from 30-180 minutes to suit a variety of children. The product is made from a durable ABS plastic, and soft polyester ears. While Davy shuts off automatically, it also has an optional shake and cry sensor. Lastly, Davy can be operated by battery or USB cord.
