Nathalie Genty of French childrenswear boutique Melijoe
My favourite pieces for girls this season are the sweet mini-me waffle crèpe dress by Chloé, the printed dresses by Stella McCartney and the silk voile dresses by Gucci. For boys, I love the Scotch & Soda AW16 collection and the insect prints by Gucci. For babies, I love the Ovale gifts, which are new to the site this season – they range from a three-metre teddy bear to an ostrich-eggshell locket!
My daily inspiration comes from my children! Five children = five different personalities.
My most treasured possessions are my pictures of my children – and their cuddly toys. The latter come with us wherever we go and can never be lost under any circumstances!
Personally, my ambition is to have a happy, healthy family and to find the right balance with Melijoe. Professionally, my ambition is for Melijoe to continue to offer the best selection of children’s fashion and to present it in a directional, inspiring way. We want to bring more magic to the digital experience!
My Murakami, a colourful painting in my living room, is my favourite artwork. But I also love Sixties design pieces such as the Eames lounge chair and the Baumann chairs
My favourite fashion brands are Miu Miu, Chloé and Valentino, which I will mix with Zara or COS, Stella McCartney or Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci.
A typical Sunday in London starts with feeding the ducks in Hyde Park, followed by a bite to eat at Tombo, a Japanese café. We love to visit Tate Modern as a family; then we’ll head over to The Wolseley for afternoon tea.
