Piccolo is a family that’s here to support your growing family. With a passion for nutritious food and family meal times spent together, we make healthy (not to mention tasty) organic cooking products, snacks and pouches. Packed with quality vegetables, fruit and herbs, our products are organic, nutritionist approved and full of everything your little ones need and nothing they don’t – no GMOs, no palm oil, no nasties. All of our products are developed by co-founder and infant nutritional expert, Alice Fotheringham, to help parents give their families a nutritious start in life. Our products span smooth purees suitable from four months, textured meals suitable from 7 months, teething snacks, cooking sauces & stock cubes and formula milk – so we’re with you every step (or crawl) of the way. Piccolo cares for the community and our planet by giving 10% of profits to charities that help local families and by being carbon neutral and committed to improving its sustainability. Find us in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda, Coop, Boots, Morrisons, Ocado, Superdrug, Whole Foods Market and Planet Organic as well as many independent and online retailers, including its own online store and subscription service.

Piccolo’s Yellow & Go pouches are the UK’s first ever mono-material, fully recyclable pouch. They are the latest addition to the ‘& Go’ collection launched in 2019, which are made of 80% plant-derived materials. The recyclability of pouches is a huge issue as over 60 million non-recyclable pouches are purchased every year in the UK! Our Yellow & Go pouches are the first step to solving this issue, as the first in the baby food market to be suitable for ‘closed-loop’ recycling. The new design is made using one material (rather than the standard plastic and aluminium) meaning they can be used time and time again to make more reusable plastic. Whilst existing pouches on the market may find one more use, the plastic in these new pouches will never need to be placed in landfill. The development of this product is backed by one of the UK’s most experienced sustainability practitioners, Jonathon Porritt. Piccolo has partnered with recycling scheme, First Mile, to ensure parents can recycle Yellow & Go pouches from home at no cost to them. The multipack box doubles as a returns box with a QR code. This allows parents to easily download the free returns label and send to First Mile to recycle, as only 20% of local UK councils recycle this plastic curb side. Lots of consumers are switching to a more sustainably-led lifestyle and the pouches really appeal to parents searching for ways to ensure a greener future for their little ones, with the added ease of recycling from home!Pic

Piccolo is a family for growing families. As a small, family-run company made up of parents ourselves, we strive to be pioneers within the baby food category. It is our mission to push boundaries to find the most effective ways to support growing families. This is why we consistently improve our sustainability efforts in our packaging’s recyclability and by becoming the UKs first carbon neutral baby food company. It is also integral to the company that we ensure parents are getting the best quality products possible. At Piccolo, giving back and sustainable sourcing are core values of the business. We work with small producers and place provenance at the heart of our sourcing decisions, with many of our organic ingredients planted and nurtured in independent family farms across the Mediterranean. Piccolo is committed to giving 10% of profits to charities supporting local families and has donated over 500,000 baby meals to families in need. We work with our charity partners to help local families provide their children with the best start in life. In supporting Piccolo, parents can also support families and charities across the UK making their purchases even more impactful!
