The Soho range from Silver Cross has been purposely designed for rooms where space is at a premium
Words: Holly Kirkwood
Obviously best-known for their prams, Silver Cross has been making high quality nursery furniture pieces since 2011, and their latest development, launched last year, is the remarkable Soho set. They already make the Ashby range, which is compact enough, but the Soho has been specifically designed for families looking to really maximise their space in the city, and it’s altogether a very clever invention.
In what Silver Cross says is the first in the world, the Soho offers a wardrobe, dresser and changer in one single compact unit. With just a touch, the changer unit pops up to create a safe and convenient baby changing station – and it folds away quickly and neatly to keep surfaces clutter-free. In terms of storage, the Soho provides three decent-sized soft close drawers, double hanging rails and useful storage compartment for accessories, while the full-size cot bed has three base height positions and transforms into a toddler bed, which grows with your child from newborn up to around four-years-old.
With clean lines and a white woodgrain finish the look is contemporary and appealing: nice extra touches include brushed steel square handles. For city-dwellers with space at a premium, this whole unit looks like a genius solution to one of the most pressing problems most expanding families have to deal with.
** Silver Cross also offers free delivery and build on all their furniture sets over two pieces, which takes away the stress of the build.
