Little Freddie Super Seed Tubes (12m+)
Here at Little Freddie we want to make to make snacking more nutritious. Working alongside our paediatric nutritionist, we spotted an opportunity to develop a finger food which will provide a filling alternative to current ‘empty calorie’ snacks and add vital nutrients such as zinc and iron to a baby’s diet in the process.
We’ve reinvented the finger food
Our Super Seed Tubes are made with linseed, haricot beans, fava beans and British quinoa to create a nutritious multigrain base, flavoured naturally with delicious organic ingredients and contain 30% less oil than market leaders.
Unlike some baby food brands, we do not add salt or sugar and never use palm oil. The nutritious multigrain base of our tubes makes them naturally high in zinc, iron and fibre which is important for growth and a healthy immune system. They are also a natural source of plant-based protein, meaning they are packed full of nutrients rather than empty calories that fill your toddler up and spoil appetites. The majority of snacks on the market are single grain and solely maize based, and whilst there is a gradual trend to include more pulses and vegetables, there are no toddler snacks out there that provide the same nutritional benefit of our Super Seed Tubes.
We use British quinoa in our Super Seed Tubes and unlike their South American counterpart, our British quinoa doesn’t use any pesticides. Our patented ‘non-bitter’ variety means the outer seed hull doesn’t need to be removed for flavour purposes. This is significant as unlike other varieties, our British quinoa retains the highly nutritious outer layer which is full of minerals and fibre, making our quinoa one of the most nutritious in the world and is almost akin to being the brown rice equivalent of quinoa. It is the perfect base for our nutritious Super Seed Tubes.
Our Super Seed Tubes make an ideal finger food for babies 12m+ to encourage self-feeding and fuel your toddler’s adventures. When it comes to finger foods, babies need a range of shapes and textures that challenge and help them develop the skills needed for grown up foods. It’s important to move on from melting or soft solids to crunchy, munchy ones so oral skills develop.
Made with linseed, protein-rich haricot beans, fava beans and British quinoa for a nutritionally superior base, these tasty tubes are flavoured naturally with either
organic tomatoes & organic Irish cheddar or organic sweetcorn & organic carrots to help encourage a love for savoury flavours.
We only put the best ingredients possible into our finger foods to ensure your little gastronome is never filling up on empty calories. All of our finger foods are developed alongside our paediatric nutritionist to ensure they are as nutritionally balanced as they are delicious, with the right texture and shape to help your baby master their feeding skills through hand-mouth coordination.
That’s Little Freddie. Nothing but the best.
