Three nursery interiors trends to try on your little one’s space now…
_____________
1. NATURAL TOUCHES
The growing momentum in environmental awareness has seeped into the nursery interiors world, where the trend for natural materials is going strong. For furniture, look out for rattan, bamboo, wood and wicker pieces, and if it’s sourced sustainably or recycled all the better. Add cushions, blankets and bed linen in organic cottons and washed linen. And accessories? Choose fun pieces along a nature theme – OYOY’s oversized mushroom wicker basket makes brilliant storage and creates a focal point in the room.

2. RAINBOW COLOURS
Unisex and fun, rainbows have been popular for a while now but recently we’re seeing them in a more muted pastel colour palette. The motif is easy to introduce into your nursery scheme in a subtle way with accessories such as Raduga Grez’s wooden stacking rainbow (all over Instagram right now). Or you can go all out and choose a beautiful wallpaper – like this one from Hibou Home. We’re also big fans of OYOY’s rainbow rugs – which look just as good on the wall as they do on the floor.

3. ON SAFARI
Another really great unisex nursery trend that we’re seeing everywhere right now is safari animals. Tigers, lions, giraffes and elephants are popping up on everything from rugs, to nightlights and even bookcases. Animal motifs in nurseries can bring to mind a garish primary colour palette, but this trend is all about natural earthy tones. A canopy is a great addition to this scheme – whether is mosquito-net-style around the bed, or creating a cosy corner to read bedtime stories by torchlight.
