Established by a husband-and-wife team in 2016, Turtledove London is an eco-friendly and unisex brand for little ones aged 0-8 years. The name comes from the cockney rhyming slang for the word “love”, which is apt considering the care and attention that is put into producing each garment.

As it’s anti fast fashion, we salute the brand’s mindful approach to design. Collections are season-less and can be worn throughout the year. The colour palette is simple (monochrome with a couple of tonal pops – for autumn, it’s teal and honeycomb) and the shapes put an emphasis on comfort rather than trends. Every step of the manufacturing process is carefully considered as well. Made using GOTS-certified organic cotton and without harmful azo dyes, the fabrics are kind to little one’s skin and the environment.

It would be hard not to fall for the brand’s imaginative, in-house designed prints, too. The AW18 collection takes inspiration from the works of David Hockney and features kooky characters including Mr Panda (wearing Hockney-esque glasses), Percy the cat and Maurice the dog (who are playfully named after the artist’s own pets).
