Most sustainable product: sheepskin Pram Liners by Baa baby

Baa Baby is the home of ethically sourced and sustainable sheepskin for baby. We work with a wide range of premium baby sheepskin brands from around the world, as well as having developed our own product range. Our sheepskin products are a beautiful addition to any nursery or playroom and will keep baby cosy in prams, car seats and carrycots. Baa Baby sheepskin is breathable and has naturally thermostatic qualities helping temperature regulation, providing natural moisturising and soothing, calming qualities.

We are entering our Baa Baby pram liners made from soft New Zealand merino sheepskin into the awards. The All Style pram liner is designed to suit all styles of car seats, buggies and bassinets/carrycots. The design combines pre-cut holes for the shoulder and harness straps along with shaped sides for easy fitting waist straps. The oval shape fits well into buggy seats, car seats or can lie flat in carrycots or bassinets. Pram liners can be cut from short hair fleeces which are shorn to 30mm providing perfect soothing support, perfect for newborns. We also have hand cut long hair liners shorn to 40-50mm providing a luxurious and fluffy feel. Leather backed, they are cut directly from 100% natural soft lambskin tanned to a high standard. All of our liners are hand cut from a single fleece therefore there is no stitching or patchwork. The leather on our liners is super supple and will tuck around a carrycot or moses basket and then transfer to the pram seat with your little one. Suitable from newborn to 4 years. Sheepskin is naturally thermostatic, and the use of a liner is beneficial all year round. In the winter and cooler months, the sheepskin provides warmth as the fibres capture and retain heat created by the body. On warmer days, the wool allows a flow of air next to the body and absorbs moisture keeping your child feeling cool and comfortable.

Sheepskin is a highly sustainable fibre with amazing natural qualities which makes it perfect for both baby and the planet. Our own sheepskin has been ethically sourced from free roaming flock – all of our fleeces are by products of the meat industry and would otherwise be destroyed. We are proud to work with an all natural product which is eco-tanned using vegetable dyes to ensure it is baby safe. Sheepskin is an enduring product – often our rugs and liners are handed down within families to the next baby creating much less waste. Sheepskin is naturally dirt resistant, remains fresher for longer and can be maintained primarily through brushing and airing. They are washed less frequently and at low temperatures, using less energy. Wool and sheepskin is one of the most recycled fabrics and if it doesn’t make it to the recycling centre then it will naturally biodegrade in less than a year. Sheepskin pram liners offer so much for both baby and parent …… but why should you vote for Baa Baby in particular With customers and ethics at our heart we are trusted, experienced and honest. Established in 2007 we have over 14 years experience of sourcing and working with sheepskin specifically produced for babies. Our pram liners are hand cut here in the UK and not mass-produced in factories. They are all cut from a single fleece and not sewn using offcuts from multiple fleeces – this produces a more luxurious and hard wearing pram liner. Baa Baby has only independent reviews from customers at – we are rated 5 stars, excellent and customer satisfaction is our priority. Our pram liners are packed in eco-friendly cotton tote bags and we work with the eco-alliance to source our packing and stationery. We genuinely care about our customers and want to provide honest advice – an example of this is that we have bought numerous prams to photograph and fit our pram liners and footmuffs. We are always looking to improve, innovate and grow so whilst we have plenty to celebrate we know we always have opportunities to learn and are continually seeking to enhance our brand and positive impact on the planet.
