If you’ve ever been to Lewes, East Sussex, you may have seen the The Little Natural Co’s shop, an artfully arranged, minimalist space that somehow manages to house everything a mama could ask for. We can’t be the only ones who have strolled by, stopped in for a quick peek and left laden with goodies.

The store stocks only organic and sustainable clothing, accessories and toys aimed at littles up to four years old – and, as you might expect, the vibe is stripped-back and wholesome, with natural fabrics, soft shades and neutral tones predominating.

The brands you’ll find here are some of the best in the world at what they do: BIBS pacifiers from Denmark, made from natural rubber in earthy colourways; sweet baby nests and shopping totes by Konges Slojd; premium-quality babywear from the ever-desirable Gray Label. Our current faves are the huggable sheepskin comforters by Flatoutbear and the printed pyjamas from Bath-based Brit brand Sleepy Doe – both sure to encourage peaceful, pleasant bedtimes.

All of this is only appropriate because the overall ambience – both in-store and online – is of a serenely stylish approach to parenthood. And while that may not be everyone’s actual parenting experience (babies have a way of cleaving towards chaos), it’s certainly a more pleasant shopping experience.
