Skandium launches its new children’s collection, marking the retailer’s first foray into design-led pieces for little ones

Design-led interiors brand Skandium has announced the launch of its Scandi-inspired children’s collection. Landing on 1st August, the range will comprise furniture, toys, and accessories, carefully selected with the needs of both parent and child in mind.
It seems that the range was inspired by Skandium parents who struggled to furnish their children’s rooms in a way that reflected their passion for Scandinavian design. The company says their shared experiences provided the narrative around which the collection was curated.
Each piece has been selected with attention to quality and durability, a principle central to every Skandium product. Collectively, the range has a typical Scandinavian expression – in both materials and colour palette – whilst preserving Skandium’s reputation for promoting design greats and future classics.
Key pieces include a child-sized architect’s table, to encouraging future creatives; compact versions of the popular OYOY geometric poufs; a typically Scandinavian alternative to a dolls house – stripped back to its plain plywood form – and of course miniature classics including the much-loved Eames Elephant.
Karen Lester from Skandium’s explains: “As one of the UK’s leading design retailers, Skandium wants to promote the positive impact that good design can have on young lives.
“Parents who share our commitment to quality, and who believe that considered design should extend to children will be able to furnish all of the spaces in their homes to the same taste and standards.”
We already love it.
