What we love This is a stylish and well-designed model. Its light aluminium frame means you shouldn’t struggle to get up and down stairs, and the brown leatherette handles are gently cushioned, adding to the luxury feel. The Ickle Bubba is fantastic for the summer months thanks to its ventilated roll-up panels on the sides, and they even claim to provide UVF 50 protection. If you’re looking for great accessories then this is the buggy for you, offering a velvet lined footmuff; a cup holder; and a velcro pouch for your phone/the all-important rice cakes.
Room for improvement Despite its being light-weight for an umbrella model, there are far more compact, fold-away options on the market. While we love the add-on accessories, the basket underneath is relatively small and won’t fit most changing bags. Finally, the seat’s reclining abilities are limited to three positions, and they can be a little fiddly.
What we love This svelte buggy is perfect for little ones who travel, it’s incredibly light and comes with a handy travel-bag suitable for aeroplanes. Its one-handed, easy-to-use folding system means you don’t have to be entirely hands-free to put it away. Not only is it super easy to pack away, but this buggy also has a generous basket size well below the seat above, so it easily fits the largest of changing bags. The undercarriage can also be accessed from the front of the buggy so you needn’t rouse your sleeping little one.
Room for improvement Despite the helpful maneuverability of this stroller, its seat reclination disallows baby from sitting completely upright which some babies won’t like. While there is excellent suspension, its small front wheels mean it can get caught in dips in the pavement – not ideal if you live near cobbles. Finally, you do forgo the luxury of full sun -coverage with this model thanks to its smaller hood size.

What we love This is the world’s smallest buggy – an official accolade given to it by the Guinness Book of Records. It’s no bigger than a standard rucksack, so can easily pass for cabin luggage. The gB Polkit+ is entirely wipeable, so it is perfect for those who worry about grubby handprints. This stroller comes entirely ready for use, there’s no assembling involved which may well appeal to those who are less keen on all things DIY.
Room for improvement If you do your shopping on the move, you should move on from this model… with tiny basket space, you won’t fit much underneath. This model is less weatherproof than its competitors: the sunshade is small, and the frame can feel somewhat insubstantial in stormy weather. Finally, the recline option for this stroller isn’t great, so it won’t be your main buggy but it serves well as a back-up or spare.
What we love This fantastic side-by-side stroller allows your little ones to socialise on the move and means that one baby doesn’t have to look at the back of the other’s seat. Its compact design means that it is hardly wider than a regular single stroller, so it won’t stop you getting through doorways and around shops. Its decent basket capacity means you can pick up all your essentials, – and remain armed with all manner of snacks! Lastly, this model folds up nicely, saving you space in the car (or hallway).
Room for improvement While this double buggy is super slimline, it is still a little wider than an in-line stroller. Its handlebar height is not adjustable so if you are very tall and very small it might not be the one for you. This is brilliant stroller for social babies, but when they’re sleeping beware of using the Velcro fixing to secure the window atop the canopy, as it can be a little loud.

What we love This super-compact little buggy is seriously stylish and boasts a fantastic flat-fold design. its very lightweight chassis means the whole thing is highly maneuverable, so you won’t get tired of pushing this stroller.
Room for improvement In line with its small design, this stroller does have a small basket so it’s not perfect for shopping on the move. It’s also worth noting that the rain cover is sold separately.
What we love
This model offers a one-handed fold and extremely compact design, making it easy to get in and out of the car or to store in the house. It’s very stylish and comfortable – a buggy that will grow with your child but won’t go out of style. Finally, its large shopping basket with mesh up the sides means items don’t spill out.
Room for improvement
The carry handle (for carrying when folded) might be better positioned on the side to make it easier to carry. Also, the drinks carrier is a touch flimsy and could do with clicking into place to make it a little more secure.
What we love
This super-neat buggy has a simple, compact fold and a slender design that lets you slip through openings other buggies can’t manage. Its air-filled tyres enable great off-road performance and soft ride. It has incredible handling, there’s no risk of RSI with this nimble little fella.
Room for improvement
There’s a great range of stylish, well-made accessories – but most cost extra. The basket on this stroller isn’t overly large – though it’s not the worst for a buggy of this size and weight, and it is easily accessible. A fixed-length handle may prove a tad short for taller parents.

What we love
The Babyzen yoyo+ is super lightweight but beautifully engineered so it doesn’t feel fragile. As the original cabin-luggage buggy it has a superbly small and easy fold. It is as stylish as they come, with great colourways and a brilliant optional buggy board for an older child to ride.
Room for improvement
For older kids, the seat doesn’t always feel spacious or upright enough. The canopy doesn’t provide a huge amount of sun cover. In order to fold this stroller properly, the basket has to be empty – so don’t even think about leaving the rain cover (or even a newspaper) in there when you’re about to board a flight.
