Having a family of her own has inspired Emma Bunton to launch her own skincare and nappy range

Today sees the launch of Kit & Kin from former Spice Girl Emma Bunton: it’s a new family brand offering a range of nappies and skincare products for mothers and babies.
After having her children, Emma was frustrated by the unsustainable and chemical-filled products on the shelves for little ones. And after she met industry expert Christopher Money through a mutual friend, the pair were inspired to create a new eco-friendly brand which offers an alternative option: Kit and Kin.
With a small initial range, Emma and Christopher have focused on nappies and skincare essentials. The nappies are eco-friendly in that they bio-degrade in just three to six years (most nappies we use can take as long as 500 years to breakdown into the earth, and we throw away 8 million per day – yikes), while the skincare has been designed to be gentle on both baby and mama. All of the products are certified natural, and have been clinically and dermatologically tested to ensure they’re completely safe to use.
The range includes shampoos and bubble bath for baby, and stretch-mark oil and breast balm for mum – plus a magic nappy salve which actually remedies all ills – we love the whole range of products, which remain free-from parabens, SLSs and artificial colours. The packaging is also gorgeous.
Emma explains: “My son has always suffered with eczema and for so many years we struggled to find products that weren’t full of chemicals that would further irritate his skin. As a mother, my children are my number one priority and I do everything I can to ensure they’re always safe, healthy and happy.
‘At Kit & Kin, we want to take away the stress and worry parents often experience when trying to choose the best products for their family. That’s why we’ve developed an amazing range you can trust to care and protect for your family as they grow.”
Along with the launch of the brand comes an environmental pledge: for every 10 nappy subscriptions sold, Kit & Kin will purchase and protect one acre of the rainforest through the World Land Trust, in the hopes of providing more clean air, life-saving medicines and safe-havens for some of the world’s most vulnerable wildlife.
The whole range is available online, for home delivery across the UK. Find out more at www.kitandkin.com.
